Pool Conversion Malvern East

Water getting under the house can undermined the house footings. Two of our customers in 2023 had these problems or concerns. one was a house that was positioned on the lower part of a hill & the other client wanted to fill his unused swimming pool but wanted to control the drainage from the pool location adjacent to his house.
Solution one we dug out next to the east side of the house using a shallow depth of 850mm as there was significant rock underground not far from Merri Creek. With the flexible coil & rock screenings Tankless design we knew before we started that we could mould around any extra-large rocks in the area of the dig out. Sure enough there was a large rock that was located partly under the house & in the line of excavation that remains in place.
We managed to divert the constant flow of water under the house into the lined cavity beside the house & in doing so also collect roof water as well that’s now used for irrigation.

The pool owner had many years of family fun in the pool. As the kids grew up the pool got used less & less to finally deciding to make better use of the area so he did his research on pool removal. His major concern was where would the water go once the pool was removed & filled in & would the water draining of the area get into the house foundations.
Not receiving any convincing explanations from pool demolition contractors, he sorts out Tankless to control the water by lining the pool & setting the over flow pipe 300mm from the top that was connected to the storm water point of discharge in doing so controlled water drainage of the old pool location.
He now has the added bonus of a 31,500 litre underground water storage to service a large garden & lawn.
